Last April, I was asked by Musicworks Magazine to take some photos of local musician Jay Crocker. I immediately said yes and had a great time hanging out and taking some photos of the practice session with his group Joyfultalk. Here are a few different portraits I took of Jay in his den of musical awesomeness - give a click to see the full-sized photo.

The coolest part for me (being a musician in my other life) was watching them rehearse songs off their latest album Musixx. Jay has developed his own method of documenting his compositions using colourful and intensely creative graphical scores like the ones seen below.
