This is what we've been waiting for all week. The weather community called this insanity out several days ago so by yesterday the grocery store chip aisles were demolished; a sure sign that severe weather was imminent.
Today I took my new Fuji X-T1 out into the storm and the weather-sealed body definitely came in handy! I managed to keep the lens out of harm's way but had a good amount of snow caked onto the LCD on the back of the camera. I love this thing. Stay tuned for a more in-depth look at this camera later on the blog.
I didn't stray too far from my place - ended up down by the Lahave where the wind eased up a bit. Quite a lot of snow was already down by 2pm - which is when this little adventure took place. Have a click through the photos and let me know if you have any storm pics from your town in the comments.
